It's damn ridiculous...

Not that it's bad or anything, but I'm like two days in Journalism class, and already the students are coming up with some hilarious ideas. Well, we're sticking to a nice introductory to the class for the first school news broadcast. After we set up our introductory lines. we started brainstorming a few ideas on what we can do for our first news broadcast.

We had a fire drill during class. One of the teachers took inspiration from that and said that we could have ourselves filmed during the fire drill. However, he wanted us to look badass. He wanted us to act calm during the fire alarm. I joined in the fun by saying that I could throw in a few tilted angles of the camera to make it more... artsy and such. Then, we came up with the idea of having Godzilla attack the school during the fire drill.

I'm not making this up. Somebody said we should have GODZILLA ATTACK THE SCHOOL.

It was so over the top, I couldn't help but find it ridiculous.

One of the girls said that we can do a skit where we promote an Animal Rescue Organization. I thought that would be a nice touch, as long as we don't have that ASPCA sad music playing. I'm telling you, those commercials are way too depressing. I said that we should put in some light-hearted music or maybe even have a rescue van come out like in the A Team, and of course, somebody (one of the teachers again, I think) said we should have GODZILLA.

Oh man... Godzilla attacking pet animals while the ASPCA music is playing. I dunno if I should be laughing or feeling terrible.

Well, I said I would agree with Godzilla attacking the town, just as long as I don't get to wear the lizard suit.
